Hello, there!! I am up late writing this post because after seeing some amazing LCM fashion, it would be a crime to wait and blog about it. After having a long day of Dr’s appointments and a 10 hours shift at work. All I could think about was the Burberry Prorsum and E. Tautz fashion shows. I saw a few pictures on Burberry’s Facebook page that I follow. I automatically fell in love with those draped blankets on the models. After just viewing the collection I fell in love with every piece shown. I want every wool blanket, silk scarf and bag that came down that runway. I admired all the knits that creative director Christopher Bailey conceived as well as the outerwear which were flawless. Continuing with the mesh trend, those white “tees” were done great, as well as the autumn prints and the silk screen London Landmarks on the tops. This collection has turned me into a bigger Burberry fanatic. Seeing picture is not enough, you need to watch the video.
Pringle of Scotland has been a recent favorite of mine. I love the minimalism this brand has to offer, after all it has been around since 1815. With so much history their knits is what has made them famous and kept the brand alive, but with a new designer a new direction is taken. Here it seems that Massimo Nicosia is rejuvenating the history and make it fresh. I loved the pop of color, the red reminded me of grapefruit. The experimentation of their iconic argyle diamond was pretty neat its’ self. I personally love all the dark hues in this collection, which is why this brand is a favorite of mine.
E. Tautz is a new favorite of mine, why researching Spring/Summer 2013 trends this brand pictures kept popping up. I like the fact that Patrick Grant, designer, skips to his own drum beat, yet this designer has a lot of things to say about fashion. This season he played on proportion, pattern and color, color is something this brand is not afraid to use. The wide leg trouser looks fresh and new from the rather tight, straight legs that follows. The over sized outerwear paired with a slim leather shined suit was the one that stood out the most. The 3D appliques were a nice touch. I can go on and on about this collection. Everything seemed perfection.
We will be going to MILAN. ‘Til next time!!
