Morethanabowtie was conceived by me, Gustavo, to go hand-in-hand with my Trend Forecasting course in back in college. Every post was an assignment that led to forecasting trends final project for fall 2015. It was fun to do, I encourage you to read my earlier posts. I learned a lot about blogging, trend forecasting, men’s fashion and things about myself.
Upon completing the course I decided to keep blogging. It is something that I enjoy doing and use, this platform as a way to give exposure to those who, I think, are doing great things in fashion. The focus is on menswear because there wasn’t, at least 4 years ago, enough blogs supporting menswear and the designers pushing it forward. I do my best to compile an assortment of runway coverage. As well as you will see a few womenswear post.
When I am not blogging, I am working for a marketing firm that has given me the opportunity to network and work on many amazing projects in Chicago and some others at a national level. Besides being a marketing firm, we produce numerous fashion shows. I have taken every project as a learning experience and I have learned a lot. During my college years I hated the idea of working on production but now I can honestly say that I love it. It’s great to hear the amazing feedback from the clients and attendees.
I would like to work for a magazine or be a contributor editor. I like to believe that I have something to say about fashion. This is my platform to show the world I can do it. Above all, this is a blog about me, and my passion for fashion.
